How to Create a Teacher Planning Binder
Step 1 : Choose your binder and dividers. Choose the number of dividers that will help you accomplish your main goals. Select only what you really need and need to be able to take with you. My recommendation is 5-8 tabs or categories.
Tabs to consider:
- Lesson Plans
- Calendar/School Disctrict Calendar
- To-Do List
- Student Roster/Contact Information
- Standards
- Curriculum Maps
- Staff Meeting Notes
Step 2 : Get yourself a cute cover and personalize it.
- Free Dot-a-Licious Teaching Binder Cover (http://www.teachersnotebook.com/…/lesson-planning-binder-co…)
- Free Subway-Inspired Teaching Binder Cover (http://www.teachersnotebook.com/…/lesson-planning-binder-co…)
- Free Passion Binder Teaching Cove (http://www.teachersnotebook.com/…/lesson-planning-binder-co…)
Step 3 : Add your papers and files behind each tab so that you can reference it when you need it.
Consider papers and files that you need to carry when you're on the go (but not every piece of paper your desk comes in contact with)
